Context
Working alongside senior designer Chris Helingoe and client Symprove as a junior designer on UX recommendations and designs.
Symprove is a water-based probiotic supplement that contains live and active bacteria to support gut health. This page shows my role and the work I did re-designing their website, collaborating alongside other designers, a creative lead, developers and the client themselves.
The Problem
Symprove wanted improved functionality spanning across all webpages, as well as redefining their user journey on core user pages. Symprove also wanted a new and well-defined look in match with their new brand guidelines,
The Solution
We held multiple workshops and a UX audit with Symprove to re-define the user journey, before planning and implementing new approaches. This led to improvements to the website's functionality as well as streamlining the user experience.
What I did
I focused on simplifying the checkout process and optimised widgets for mobile in order to create a more intuitive and user friendly experience. I started with brainstorming and making wire-frames, then prototyping and testing various outcomes for both the website and advertisements, keeping everything in line with Symprove's design language and emerging brand standards.
What I learnt
Maintaining continuous communication with the clients at Symprove to update them on my progress, as well as being proactive in seeking out feedback from fellow designers and developers to identify any limitations or proposed improvements affirmed the importance of communication in large scale projects. This project led me to practice critical thinking, understanding more about a users needs and behaviours to find effective solutions as well as improving my skills in Adobe XD and Sketch.
