Context
GDR provides services to clients based on consumer insight and emerging retail trends. This project shows my work on GDR’s website alongside senior designer Chris Helingoe and front end developers at the agency Spicerack.
The Problem
GDR wanted a new website that was more streamlined, adopting their new brand guidelines with a focus on improving the user experience.
The Solution
We held multiple workshop sessions with the client to go over and re-create the user journey, and collaborated with the client to implement their creative branding in innovative ways throughout the website, leading to more streamlined navigation and a fresh new look.
What I did
I collaborated with the senior designer and front end developers to figure out what was feasible, taking assets from the new branding and creating new assets influenced by the guidelines. I then began prototyping and testing various formats and designs while gaining feedback both from the senior designer and client.
What I learnt
This was the first time during working with Spicerack that I was entrusted with leading the creative aspects of a project. This allowed me to make impactful creative decisions to influence the direction of the project, and also improved my UI design skills as I was in charge of all web pages.
